My cartoon Ranchu is laying on it's side on the bottom of the tank.
The fish eats what ever food it can get and when it tries to swim it spirals around like a cork-screw. When I pick up the fish it's belly is very hard, both bottom and sides.
What do you guys think the best treatment for this fish should be?
I have the fish in a hospital tank with salt, meth-blue, and melafix.
It's been 3 days or so and no change.
Thanks.
Can be cured provided you can find the medication called "NIKA - Float-Aid".
Even those lying on its sides for several weeks can fully recover. I currently have one female that was lying on its side for almost a month. I suddenly remembered that I have an old bottle of "Float-Aid" and I used it on her. She recovered and even managed to spawn 3 times since recovering fully. If I remember correctly ?bugeyed" and another 2 more Fynnmood members saw that fish lying on her side.
Another two times were 2 telescope-eye that was floating upside down at the water surface. Both went for competition after recovery and that one piece even came in 1st.
